Arkansas Highway 7 - Russellville to Jasper | Drive America's Highways 🚙

🚙 Drive America's Highways for 66 miles north along Arkansas Highway 7 from Russellville to Jasper in Arkansas 💎

We start the video at the intersection of AR-7 and Parkway Ave in downtown Russellville. Driving north, we pass Arkansas Tech University and the interchange with Interstate 40 before leaving Russellville. For the first 8 miles or so, Highway 7 is a four-lane highway until just before Dover, where it bottlenecks into a 2 lane to enter the town from the south.

Turning west to stay on AR-7 in Dover, we soon resume our northerly course at the intersection with AR-333, just northwest of town. We continue driving north on AR-7, passing AR-164 before entering the Ozark National Forest. Scenic 7 through the Ozark National Forest is a pleasant drive with gentle curves (and a few sharper ones) and nice elevation changes. We soon reach the community of Sand Cap where we cross the intersection with AR-16 (right) and AR-123 (left). Continuing north we pass the intersection with AR-123 north as we turn northwest towards Deer, where we turn north once again at the intersection with AR-16 west.

The last part of Arkansas Highway 7 - Russellville to Jasper is filled with more drastic elevation changes and ever-tightening curves in the road. As we near Jasper, the trees give way to stunning vistas as we pass the Arkansas Grand Canyon, a few miles south of town. Entering Jasper, we descend a pretty steep and twisty road to arrive on Stone Street from the southeast. We end the video turning right on to Court street, where AR-7 continues north to Harrison.
