Quickshifters came from racing motorcycles, as many innovations do. If you think about shifting, any time you have the clutch pulled in, the rear wheel is not being powered, which can add up over the course of a race.

Obviously we aren't trying to save tenths of a second in our commutes, but quickshifters offer convenience and cool technology on street bikes. In this video I will talk about how quickshifters work and will show you some examples on the road. I have both a GoPro and insta360 set up, so you will be able to see both my feet and hands in the video.

The motorcycle in this video is a Triumph Tiger 1200 Rally Pro, which has one of the smoothest quickshifters I have tried.
