BOAT MAINTENANCE - Ocean sailing hatch install on a small steel yacht - Episode 47

Farewell old leaky backwards opening hatch!
Hello sexy new Category A Ocean sailing hatch, and to this weeks video of us installing this brand new, second hand upgrade! This 20 year old unit has seen it's last days, the hinges have snapped and it's corroded beyond repair. We have picked up a preloved, unused new model and we are going to give Innerbloom her latest freshen up - installing it on anchor.

We've got two days to get this installed before we shoot out for some more sailing in the Whitsundays. In true yachty fashion, Josh has made some new connections who assist us in this clean, textbook install. If you're into boat work, kit up for this one as we raft up for the first time. A couple of top blokes Jordy and Mark on La Lune help us get some welds on deck, a massive help being work we cant do our selves.

Sailing is just fixing your boat in beautiful locations, eh? Airlie Beach has got it all!
