Why is it so hard for some people to actually do some real research before they try to include foreign cultural details into their productions?

I mean, it's understandable if a Japanese voice actor finds it difficult to pronounce words from a different language. But would it kill them to just check the pronunciation with something as simple as Google Translate or Wiktionary beforehand? Heck, in this case even when the actor apparently had the right katakana for the Italian phrase "Buon appetito" (ブオン・アッペティート), as you can see in the subtitles, he preferred to pronounce it like it's French equivalent "Bon appétit".

If that wasn't insulting enough (for Italians at least), someone in the production didn't do his homework, therefore deciding that a trattoria in the middle of Florence should obviously be playing Mexican music in the background. I guess they thought that guitar (or should I say "guitarrón") music is just Latin enough to be Italian or something.
