Over a year ago, you were in a wonderful relationship with a man named Pierce. You shared what you thought was a truly special bond, and you were sure it was headed towards the two of you being together until the end. He had a government job he couldn't go into great detail about that had him away for some days every month, but he always came home to you, seemingly relieved to be back in your arms.

But your father, an influential business leader, came to you one day and broke two horrible pieces of news to you. One was that a rival business was stooping to trying to physically harm his family, including you, for financial advantage. And the other, perhaps even more shocking news, was that his investigators discovered Pierce was seeing two other women, and that's where he really was when he was away. You cried in your father's arms, and he comforted you, offering to take you with him while he traveled to stay safe. The next day, you texted Pierce, telling him you knew what he was up to, and you blocked him.

You've stuck with your father since then, working freelance jobs remotely, and having every comfort provided by your father while you traveled the world.

Recently, your father brought you and his crew back to your old hometown to take care of some business. It's been bringing back so many memories, as well as a lot of sadness at the loss of someone you thought you'd be spending your life with. When nostalgia inflicted a serious craving for some basic junk food, and you slipped out of the high-security penthouse suite where you'd been staying to hit up a nearby convenience store, you returned to find the building swarming with police. They identified you and took you into custody, sadly explaining everyone in the suite, including your father, had been killed.

You're now in a room at a local federal building where polite agents have been gently asking you questions and tending to you, and they're apparently assigning a specialist to you for protection...
