Taking the eBay cheap GoPro suction cup mount out for a test, I took no chances and used a lanyard just in case it fell but it performed flawlessly. Not too bad for a cheap suction cup that comes with a GoPro tripod mount. Totally worth the price, you can find it on eBay from between $3 to $5 maybe. Works for the Hero2, Hero3 and Hero3+. It does have a little vibration, and the quality of it isn't supreme or anywhere near the GoPro brand or BRLS mount, but it's a budget mount.
