TC Electronic Nova Drive. TC's programmable Rat and Tubescreamer in 1. A bit of a masterpiece.

The Nova Drive from TC Electronic is a fully analog overdrive and distortion pedal that has digital switching control that enables it to have up to 8 combinations of overdrive and distortion and any combination thereof. It also allows you to run the pedals in any order and in parallel.

This is the first of two videos where I demonstrate the pedal as a standalone unit allowing you to use the overdrive and distortion with one switch for each or to use the two switches to switch between presets. In the next video I'll demonstrate how this pedal really comes into it's own when used in a MIDI rig.

This is my second time owning this pedal the last time was 10 years ago and over the last 10 years I've nearly bought it 5 or 6 times. It is an incredibly well thought out and designed unit that is extremely versatile. I really think this period of TC was their best work. This and the other NOVA pedals, the NOVA system and the G System are all astoundingly good.

Effectively this is a fully programmable Tube Screamer and Rat in one pedal. It can replace a whole lot of pedals on your board.
