US Election 2020: National Guard Called Out as Protests Over Vote-Counting Continue

Описание к видео US Election 2020: National Guard Called Out as Protests Over Vote-Counting Continue

Protesters in the US have taken to the streets to demand all votes get counted, while other groups have called for the counting to stop.

The National Guard was called out after ‘widespread violence’ in Portland, Oregon.

In New York, 20 arrests were made after protesters began setting fires.

It comes after the Trump campaign filed lawsuits to halt the vote-counting in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Georgia over a ‘lack of transparency’.

Protesters in Philadelphia said they had come to protect democracy, with Trump and Biden are hotly contesting Pennsylvania's 20 electoral college votes.

Americans could be waiting until Friday for a clear winner to be announced.
