Eyecatch - Neon Dreams (1992)

I found this old house record by this Japanese band called Eyecatch. They were founded in 1989 by keyboardist Yuuki Sagara, house DJ Tajiri Inufusa, and singer Nanase Kasumi. They released this song in 1992, and it became a hit in nightclubs all over Japan. They were rather successful throughout the early 90s, until they disbanded in 1997 due to creative differences.

In all seriousness, this song was randomly created in an AI site called Udio. I liked how it sounded, so I completely remade it in Ableton Live, using hardware from the early 90s and software modeled after hardware made in the 80s and 90s. I couldn't remake the vocals, so I extracted them from the original and used them here, since none of the voices in Vocaloid and Synthesizer V could replicate natural feel that the AI somehow was able to pull off.
