The 6D ATR-1 Helmet could revolutionize off-road and motocross helmet design. Omni-Directional Suspension (ODS) technology makes the 6D Stealth Helmet better able to absorb impacts of all types, from low-energy to high-energy and even rotational forces. A series of rubber dampers act as suspension between two layers of EPS foam. They allow for impact absorption at levels that don't crush the EPS layers. Once a crash is hard enough to crush the foam, it too absorbs the energy. Additionally, the inner layer of EPS is able to move a small amount, which means the helmet can rotate just a bit without delivering those rotational forces to the rider's head.

We've already seen the 6D do its job with the Geico Honda riders in 2013 Supercross. Zach Bell had a terrible crash as well as several that weren't as spectacular. Eli Tomac planted his head in the whoops as well.

Aside from the exciting ODS technolgy, the ATR-1 helmet also uses a sophisticated outer shell which is manufactured in multiple sizes. Each shell size covers two fitment sizes, so there's no need for extra padding to make them fit correctly. The shell is made from carbon fiber, fiberglass and Kevlar materials. There are mulitple vents which feed into the air gap created by the ODS. This helps immensely with ventilation.

The motocross helmet also uses emergency release cheek pads, CoolMax moisture-wicking liner, Titanium D-rings and break-away plastic visor screws. A Clavicle cut-away helps protect against broken collarbones and the 6D can be worn with neck braces. It's available in several different graphics.
