🌱 Empowering Women Farmers: Pest Control Training and Beans Seed Distribution 🌱

Today, I had the privilege of facilitating a session on pest #management and bean seed distribution for the Women in Me 14 program. This initiative equips women with sustainable farming #practices, enhancing food security and providing economic empowerment through agriculture.

🎥 Highlights from the Training Session:

Understanding Pests: We covered common pests that impact bean crops, like aphids, Panama and bean beetles, and explored methods to recognize and address pest threats early on.

Eco-Friendly Pest Management: Techniques like handpicking, neem oil application, and companion planting were introduced as safe, sustainable options.

Quality Bean #Seed Distribution: Each participant received high-quality bean seeds suitable for local soil conditions, along with planting tips to ensure successful germination.

Harvesting and Beyond: Guidance on plantain pest control, harvesting, post-harvest care, and seed saving was provided to support future growth cycles.


This program not only builds knowledge but also promotes a sense of resilience and hope as each woman works toward higher yields and sustainable agriculture. Each seed planted is a step toward a stronger community. 🌍💪
