Drilling holes in ceramic or porcelain tile isn't hard...unless you use the wrong tools.

The first step is to choose the right hole saw. In this vide we used the Milwaukee 1 1/4" Diamond Plus hole saw and the corresponding starter bit.

Starter bits are nice because you can line up the tip with the exact center of the hole you're trying to cut. And the starter holes the hole saw tight against the material.

Once you get your hole saw started, apply even pressure to the tile while the saw is cutting. Don't press down too hard as this might break the tile.

Once you see the starter bit go through the tile you can flip over the tile and start cutting the other side to prevent any chipping.

Furthermore, continually dip the hole saw in water as you're cutting the tile to help extend the saws life.
