Parking at Chapel Bridge ( approx 10 cars)

This is an 8 mile circular route heading from an old stone bridge at Chapel Bridge to head up to Hause Gate to take an out and back to Catbells, wirh great views of Derwent Water. The route then heads up to Maiden Moor , with steep crags into the Newlands Valley it offers great views. The route then heads along an easy grassy Ridge to High Seat. it's worth a short detour to the edge ontop of the crags to get the most of the views.. We then descend in a southerly direction to head along Newlands Beck. There are numerous waterfalls with pools to take a nice dip on a warm day and rhe views looking back up the crags are exceptional.
