Facebook support issues, are you having trouble getting support from Facebook? Support good or bad?
Maybe you should consider swapping your budget to YouTube Ads if you are struggling with Facebook support issues. As an agency we have always struggled to get the right type of support from Facebook, we've had clients accounts suspended, banned - and let me be clear, for no apparent reason.
Sometimes if the wind is in the wrong direction you find your business manager account on Facebook ads banned, this has now gotten beyond a joke, come on Mr Zuckerberg, we in the advertising community need more support, help, tools as here on the front line in a client-facing capacity it is pretty much impossible to help a client when you do need support.
I was recently speaking to a good friend who works as the senior lead at one of the world's biggest bookmakers, they are moving all their support across to AI and bots, he felt that was a mistake, yes it's going to save the business a shed ton of money in the long run, but does it upset the customers, well the answer to that is clearly YES. Facebook has the same issue, but they have never made actual 'people' available to speak to when you need support. However, getting any semblance of a response from a real person at Facebook seems nigh on impossible! HOW exactly do you reach someone at Facebook and how do you actually get a response?
When you are one of the world's top brands you would think that keeping your customers happy would be a priority, but at Facebook that seems to be a problem, a big one. Maybe Facebook doesn't see agencies as its customer, it should however be helping the brands that spend 10's of thousands on their platform week in, week out, with proper support.
Why on earth isn't it possible to speak to a person who works at Facebook? Surely if you spend that amount with them on a weekly basis you do get some sort of support? Well, yes you do get support, through chat, and it can take what feels like forever to get anyone to speak to you on the chat, let alone actually get help at the time you need it.
Google can do it properly and provide a call center along with chat as well as call-backs, Facebook could, but chooses not to. Maybe their support would be overwhelmed with 'My ex-boyfriend says he doesn't like me' types and that's why they don't offer support. This goes far deeper than that though, we know that Facebook doesn't remove hate speech, violent videos, sexual content, fake news anywhere near as quickly as it could, Facebook has all the tools to sanitise the platform - it can happily target you based on the words you have spoken, so why not get rid of contentious content automatically or provide a support system for it to be removed? Because it would cost money, and a serious budget, in my opinion, we are going to reach a point where many advertisers pull back from Facebook in favor of other forms of social media presence where they can get actually genuine support.
