Dodmoor House in Northamptonshire holds a special place in my heart as one of my favourite wedding venues. Capturing so many beautiful weddings here has been a joy, and Charlotte and Ashley’s day was no exception. I met them beforehand at their home, where we discussed their plans and reminisced about how I went to school with Ashley—what a small world! Their relaxed vibe and excitement made me even more eager for the big day.

The wedding journey began with Charlotte’s preparations at home, where she gifted her loved ones, filling the morning with touching moments. We then headed to Dodmoor House, where the celebrations kicked off with a confetti toss and a large group photo in the courtyard. The drinks reception was set outdoors, with perfect weather for lawn games, canapés, and relaxed mingling.

Charlotte and Ashley preferred a minimalist approach to group photos, so we captured a few formals before a brief couple's portrait session around the beautiful Dodmoor grounds. They chose to focus on spending time with family and friends, and it paid off—every shot was full of natural joy and connection.

A memorable highlight was their dog joining the festivities, perfectly relaxed and happy! The reception, held in the charming Catesby Barn, included heartfelt speeches, with Ashley sharing his words before the meal to calm his nerves. Post-dinner, we caught the golden hour for more portraits, with the newlyweds beaming in the warm light. Evening guests arrived, adding even more energy to the party.

The night ended with cake-cutting, a romantic first dance, and endless laughter in the courtyard. Congratulations to Charlotte and Ashley on a day filled with love and joy—I’m thrilled to have been part of it!
