This animation shows a new method for mapping a system of coarse grained (CG) particles on an atomistic molecular system. This coarse graining method maps CG particles on a fixed amount of atomistic (parts of) molecules, which makes it equally applicable to larger molecules as it is to solvents such as pure water or solutions of ions in water.
