THE CRAZY 1300BHP 2.8l WASSERBOXER POWERED SKINNE BEETLE

The World Famous Skinne Beetle, built by Tor Oyvind Skinne and driven by Jens Petter Branstorp, was at the SCC event in Norway, taking part in the Cash Days race (Full Video to follow). The beetle is powered by a 2.1 litre Wasserboxer engine (VW's flat four water cooled engine) from a T3, or T25.

This has been rebuilt by the Skinne Racing Team to 2.8 litres, and with the help of a one off built Precision 81mm turbo, produces up to 1300bhp, and has recently ran a new PB of 7.94 @ 178mph. I filmed them running consistent low 8's all day. The runs in the video, or in order of slowest to quickest, not he order of the cash days rounds.
