Today’s session

The navigation menu is a vital component in websites and web applications but it's often overlooked in terms of accessibility. In a past session, we learned that web accessibility is about making the internet an inclusive space for everyone, regardless of their abilities, disabilities, or the devices they use to access information. So we’re thrilled to welcome back Hojung An who will talk to us more about web accessibility in the context of an HTML element.

Here, Hojung will provide us with practical techniques to enhance the accessibility of navigation menus. We will cover essential aspects such as proper structuring, effective labelling, and implementation strategies. Therefore, by understanding and implementing these techniques, you will not only improve the overall usability of your web projects but also ensure compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
