GOOD (DON’T DIE) DONDAS VERSION - Kanye West & Ty Dolla $ign

Описание к видео GOOD (DON’T DIE) DONDAS VERSION - Kanye West & Ty Dolla $ign

“GOOD (DON’T DIE)”, originally named “So Good”, is the fourteenth cut from the first volume of the VULTURES trilogy by Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign. The song contains a prominent interpolation of Donna Summer’s May 1977, “I Feel Love”-harmonized by J.Rey SOUL after the sample failed to be cleared.

The song’s static and pop-like production shares similarities to “Street Lights” from Ye’s critically acclaimed fourth studio album, 808s & Heartbreak. The repetition of the sample builds an eerie tension throughout the track, creating a euphoric and psychedelic effect on listeners.

Despite the subject matter and lyricism being brief on the track, it’s straightforward and gets the artists' points across as the duo notes that a smile on their partner’s face is enough for them to build an emotional attachment with them and wish against their demise.

It’s clear that on the track Ye takes the reigns as he shares the flow from “Street Lights,” however, Ty matches Ye’s introspective nature and builds off of J.Rey’s angelic vocals as he peacefully sings throughout the duo’s shared verse, contrasting Ye’s rapping.

On February 9, 2024, the track was previewed in full during the NYC Vultures Listening Experience alongside a majority of the tracks on the album.

On February 14, 2024, the track was removed from Spotify due to clearance issues.

I added videos of Kanye’s late mother, Donda, who passed of a surgery accident. I also made a edit to go align with the audio.
