After doing the VTA mod and trying the 2020 Turbosmart Electronically controlled mechanical BOV, I ended up getting the full mechanical. Although the EM BOV is better then oem, it still thinks you have a recirculation pipe connected and will vent in certain circumstances. For most, it would be fine, just do the VTA mod if your not going FULL mechanical. Hope this helps.
(All of my unwanted venting was in OD gear trying to keep speed, it would vent while lightly accelerating)
