Kestrel Lodge campsite in a storm | VW California camper van

This trip, we have the campsite to ourselves! Storm force winds and rain did limit our ability to take advantage of it but Kestrel Lodge campsite in north Lake District national park, near Keswick and Bassenthwaite is a real hidden gem!!
Our small VW Camper van did feel a little smaller during the bad weather but it didn't stop us exploring the local hills and woodland, whilst marvelling at the beautiful autumnal colours and small waterfalls.
