ホイール鏡面磨き！ヤフオクでジャンク品扱いの古いロリンザーを買って素人が磨いてみた

今回はネットオークションにてジャンク品で出品されていた
古いロリンザーのホイールを鏡面になるまで磨いてみました
自身は磨きのプロではなく素人ですので、
作業内容は参考程度にお願い致します

今回、使用した工具は以下のものになります
・ 剥離剤
・ 3M スポンジ研磨剤 ( Superfine, Ultrafine, Microfine)
・ RYOBI サンダポリッシャー RSE-1250
・ボッシュ ポリッシャー用 アダプター
・ サンダポリッシャー用 ペーパー (# 120- # 1500)
・ DREMEl3000
・ DREMEl flexible shaft
・ フラップホイール（ #240-＃400）
・ シェイク・モーリー shake Morley 金属研磨剤
・ コットンバフ
・ 防塵マスク

全ての作業は機械を使わずに手で行う事も可能です
私は手で全ての作業を行う事にも成功はしていますが
とても長い時間が必要です

サンドペーパーにて磨く作業を行う際に
磨きが十分でないと鏡面にはなりませんので
しっかりと傷が消えているか確認しながら作業を行ってください
明るい照明を用意するか、明るい場所で作業すると傷が確認しやすいです
※暗い場所でキレイでも磨きが足りないと、昼間に外で見るとガッカリするのでこの作業は妥協せずに行ってください

この作業で最も重要なのがコットンバフと金属研磨剤です
コットンバフと金属研磨剤の組み合わせはとても研磨力がありますが
余分な金属研磨剤を吸収しながらホイールを磨きます
またコットンバフは柔らかいので鏡面になったホイールを
傷つけることなく最後まで仕上げてくれます

使用している金属研磨剤は
余計なコーティング剤が含まれていないため
磨きの作業がとても楽です
コーティング剤が多く含まれた金属研磨剤だと
コットンバフを沢山消費する為オススメはしません
なるべくコーティング剤が含まれていない金属研磨剤を選択してください
もし手に入るならば、私と同じようにシェイクモーリーを選択してください

作業には危険を伴いますので
ゴーグル、グローブ、マスクを着用し換気を行って作業をしてください

This time, I polished old beat up Lorinser wheels, sold as junk in an internet auction, until they become mirror surface.
Please note that I am an amateur in polishing and how I did is only for your reference.

The equipment I used this time is as follows:

・ peeling agent
・ 3M Sanding Sponges ( Superfine, Ultrafine, Microfine)
・ RYOBI Sanda Polisher RSE-1250
・ Sanda polisher (# 120- # 1500)
・ DREMEl3000
・ DREMEl flexible shaft
・ Flap wheel（ #240-＃400）
・ Shake Morley (metal polishing agent）
・ Cotton buff
・ Dust protective respirator

All work can be done by hand without using tools.
Although I did it successfully all by hand, it takes a very long time.

When polishing with sandpapers, check to see if scratches are completely gone.
If it is insufficient, mirror suface cannot be achieved.
For easier checking, prepare bright lighting or do it at a bright place.

Cotton buff and polishing agent are the key materials in this work
The combination of cotton buff and polishing agent is very effective in polishing, while excessive polishing agent is absorbed.
Since cotton buff is very soft, it finishes mirror surfaced wheels perfectly without making any scratch.

The metal polishing agent I used does not include unwanted coating material, and it makes polishing work easier.
Polishing agent that contains much coating material will result in higher consumption of cotton buff, and so I do not recommend those.
Choose metal polishing agent with the less coating material.
If available, choose Shake Morley as I did.

For your own safety, wear goggles, gloves and masks, and use ventilation while working.
