Dia Succari was Born In Aleppo Syria in 1938, and after studying violin with M. Boricenko he later
continued his studies at the National Conservatory of Music in Paris where he studied composition
ad orchestral conducting with J. Rueff, H. Challan, N. Gallon, M. Bitch, R. Blot, T. Aubin, M. Rosenthal
and O. Messiaen. and also Piano at the Ecole Normal with Ms. Dumesnil. His scholarship has taken
him to teach at several reputed conservatories, notably the Conservatory of St. Denis , G.Gourdet
conservatory, Paris Conservatory and the Sorbonne university. He is also member of the pedagogy
commission at FNUCMU. some of his many awards are the regional medal of honor, the silver
medal of the city of Suresnes in 2000. He has written many works, lots of them were performed
by top performers such as Andre Girard, Pierre Menet, Robert Blot Orchestra, Cairo Symphony
Orchestra, Syrian National Symphony Orchestra, as well as many works that combined western
and eastern instruments, text and singing such as his early work based on Sufi texts « forget what
you have learned».

درّس في عدّة معاهد موسيقيةّ كمعهد سان دوني وغورديه والمعهد الموسيقيّ بباريس وجامعة السوربون.
كتب العديد من الأعمال التي عُزفت من قبل أكبر العازفين كأندريه جيرار وبيير مونيه وأوركسترا روبير بلو وأوركسترا
القاهرة السيمفونيةّ والفرقة السيمفونية الوطنية السوريةّ. رحل ضياء سكري في كانون الأول من عام ٢٠١٠ و يعتبر رحيله
المبكر خسارة كبيرة الموسيقا السورية والمشهد الموسيقي العالمي
