So question that always comes up when we talk about Hinduism is the following - What is the Hindu view of God? How do Hindus define “God”? Does the word “God” exist in any of the Hindu scriptures? More importantly, if I say the word “God”, what’s the first image that comes in your mind?

Growing up as a child, the word God meant some big guy in the sky that had control over the world. As I got older, and I started to understand more about Hinduism, little did I realize that the concept of God as some being with awesome superpowers that resides in the heavens, outside this world - had absolutely nothing to do with Hinduism.
