Cyber Monday 2018 set to break US online shopping records

Cyber Monday sales this year surged to new highs, with a record $7.9 billion spent online that day, an increase of 19.3 percent from a year ago. It makes the sales the biggest online shopping day yet in U.S. history. The figures represents an increase of 17.9% over last year Amazon customers worldwide ordered more than 18 million toys and more than 13 million fashion items on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, combined. The company says Cyber Monday was biggest shopping day in its 24-year history.
