Two of the famed class 483 electric multiple units, built in 1938 and used through the war on the London Underground, sent to the Isle Of Wight fifty years later and only recently retired.
483002 had been used for spares for a few years, 483009 was in service until 2016 but was used as a shunter until 2021.
Both units are seen in Weston Coyney, Stoke on Trent, where they have been briefly held on their way for scrap.

A huge thank you to the staff at Reid's Transport for permission to make this film. It is very refreshing to be encouraged to record history albeit a rather sad end for these iconic trains that were the longest surviving traction on the main rail network.
