Full Route Visual | Arriva Leicester 5A - Melton Mowbray to Leicester | 4758 (FJ06 ZSD)

Well, even though it started to rain at the end, this is still a pretty good route visual.

Due to the camera being too low at parts I refilmed my 5A visual back to Leicester from Melton on Tuesday. I thought this was going to be a nightmare visual as well, having not known how rattly or smooth Thurmaston's MMCs are and with the bad condition of a lot of Wigston's ones, I kept putting it off.

Originally I got on 4529 which turned out to be OK, unfortunately, as I later found out on the reflection of another bus, it was a Twin Lakes working which I didn't want so I had to bail in Syston. Thankfully, next up was a DB250, albeit one with the leather seats and charging points which is supposed to be for the 127. Thankfully it had a good driver and performed how a DB250 should perform, unlike 4770 on the 29.

The interesting allocation of the day as you can see is a 14-branded Pulsar on this route. You can see it's not just the 29 losing their promise as a result of the Twycross Zoo and Drayton Manor services, I keep seeing Pulsars and Versas on the 127 as well and the 104 has sometimes only had one double-decker a day. Maybe they should stop putting them on the 53.

Experiences: I've also caught this a few times to Melton last year and enjoyed it, however, I hate the suburban section, just because the traffic can be terrible and you can get stopped at every stop, which I find frustrating because people on this bus have come all the way from Melton and have got cramps or need to stretch their legs and there are buses that have only come from East Goscote and Thurmaston, and further down, one from Rushey Mead.

How I felt: The views on this route are spectacular, and sometimes make you feel like you're flying. And this bus was a proper screamer.
