Описание к видео Collett Transports 146Te Yankee Dryer to ICT UK’s New Deeside Facility

Collett has successfully delivered a 146-tonne Yankee Dryer to ICT UK’s new paper manufacturing plant in Deeside, utilising our 250Te girder bridge trailer and 6-axle SPMT.

This project demonstrated our diverse service capabilities in heavy transport, route management, and installation, from vessel discharge at Ellesmere Port, road transport, on-site transhipment to final positioning on site.

The operation began at Ellesmere Port, where Collett team discharged the 146Te Yankee Dryer from the vessel using an LTM1800D 750Te crane and loaded it onto our 250Te girder bridge trailer for onward transport.

The convoy travelled under controlled night-time movements, including a full M53 motorway closure managed in coordination with National Highways and Cheshire Police. With a loaded height of 6.2m, overhead cable lifting was carried out in collaboration with SPEN and BT, while route adjustments were made to overcome height restrictions and tight turns.

After an overnight stop at Cheshire Oaks, the load continued its journey to Deeside, escorted by Cheshire Police and supported by full traffic management. Upon arrival, the dryer was transhipped onto a 6-axle Self-Propelled Modular Transporter (SPMT) for on-site manoeuvring and positioned inside the new facility for installation.

This project took 15 months from conceptualisation to realisation involving close coordination with SPEN, BT, National Highways, Cheshire Police and local councils to navigate and deliver the load safely and on time.
