In this video, we will explore the features of Syncfusion® Angular Ribbon component, a modern, Office-style toolbar that helps you neatly organize commands in your Angular apps.

The Ribbon is built on a simple structure of tabs, groups, and items. Tabs act as categories like Home or Insert, and inside each tab, groups hold related tools such as clipboard or font options. You can arrange these items vertically or horizontally, add headers and icons, and even include a small launcher button for extra options. When space is limited, groups can automatically collapse based on priority, keeping the layout clean and responsive.

You can add a wide range of built-in tools like buttons, checkboxes, dropdowns, split buttons, combo boxes, color pickers, and gallery items. And if you need something more custom, you can use templates to embed your own HTML or Angular components.

The Ribbon supports two layout modes: classic, which gives you a full multirow layout, and simplified, which condenses everything into a single row with an overflow menu and layout switcher. It’s fully responsive, too. As the screen size changes, items automatically resize from large to medium to small. You can also minimize the Ribbon or hide the layout switcher for a cleaner look.

Some of its advanced features include a backstage view, which acts as a full-page file menu with customizable content and layout. There’s a simpler file menu for common actions like New or Save. There’s also a help pane where you can display help content or documentation links directly inside the Ribbon. Contextual tabs let you show tabs only when needed, like when selecting an image. Gallery items provide a visual way to display collections like styles or themes.
