Rahul Gandhi in the UK: Bharat Jodo Yatra showcased a different narrative of India

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi shared experiences from the Bharat Jodo Yatra which he described as a successful yatra which managed to place on the table a different narrative of the country. Addressing an in-conversation session at the Chatham House think tank on Monday evening to round off his week-long UK tour, Gandhi said that, the idea of yatra came as they (Opposition parties) were not allowed to have a conversation on important matters such as GST, demonetisation and farmers' agitation in the Parliament. "The answer which came up to the Congress Party was this walk across the country, which has a tradition," added Gandhi.
