How to Mix Background Vocals and Harmonies like the Pros [2023] Step by Step Tutorial]

Mixing background vocals like the pros, combines a series of simple and advanced mix techniques. With Logic Pro X, first we'll tighten up the vocal timing, subgroup the backing vocals, set levels, layer, and fix the pitch and tuning. Then we pan and process the subgroup with eq, compression, add presence with saturation. Then we add depth with reverb and delays, sidechain with gate and compression, and then add some chorusing. The result is a lush, polished radio sound.
Presented using Logic Pro X, but will work in any DAW, like Protools, FL Studio, etc.
