Braised short ribs is made with beef short ribs, slow cooked in rich red wine sauce. The short ribs is slowly cooked until succulent and beef almost falling apart. Ingredients:

-1 kilo beef short ribs
-1 minced onion
-2 pcs chopped carrot
-2 cloves minced garlic
-2 tbsp tomato paste
-400ml red wine
-500ml beef broth
-Olive oil
-Chopped onion spring for garnishing
-Salt and pepper to taste
-1 twig thyme
-2 pcs bayleaf
-1 piece chopped ribs celery


Procedure:
1. Season short ribs with salt and pepper.
2. In well oiled pan, sear short ribs on both sides. Remove and set aside ribs after searing.
3. In the same pan, add onion and garlic, saute until translucent and fragrant.
4. Add carrot and celery, stir fry for 2 minutes then add tomato paste. Stir a bit.
5. Pour red wine and beef broth, return seared beef into the pan. Cover and cook for 2-1/2 hour or until tender.
6. When fork tender or meat falling off the bones, remove from the pan. Transfer to a serving plate.
7. Strain sauce and discard remaining vegetables.
8. Pour sauce all over meat.
9. Serve and enjoy!
