Early Transitional Slab Strat: 1959 Fender Stratocaster slab 10 hole pickguard!

Описание к видео Early Transitional Slab Strat: 1959 Fender Stratocaster slab 10 hole pickguard!

Check out this killer transitional Strat: 1959 Stratocaster with 10 hole single ply pickguard and slab Rosewood fretboard! We bought this via my friend in Canada from its original owner, Yvan. It's a spectacular playing example and we love the personalized letters on the bass side upper bout. The guitar is completely original throughout except for an amazing factory style refret and a replaced (but NOS vintage Switchcraft) output jack.

Fender introduced the slab Rosewood fretboard on the Jazzmaster in 1959, but the Stratocaster model had to wait until the spring of 1959 to get it. Since it's a '59, it doesn't have a neck heel date, but the tremolo cavity reads "6/59" indicating that it was initially routed in June of 1959. The potentiometer code indicates that it was made during the first week of 1959.
