GBO2 Sliferail: It plays how the original Gundam should!

Описание к видео GBO2 Sliferail: It plays how the original Gundam should!

This video contains two matches I had with the recently released LV1 Sliferail on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 350 cost general with two melee weapons, high melee damage, powerful vulcans and great overall mobility. It suffers from being stuck with the weak Gundam Ground Type beam rifle as a primary weapon alongside not being that good if the fight devolves into just midrange shooting. This suit was recently released as a bonus for doing the 72 hours limited step up, so I decided to try it out. It feels really fun. I hope that you enjoy watching!

Its primary weapon is a beam rifle with 1200 (1650) power, 2 seconds cooldown, 50% (90%) heat, 13 seconds overheat, 0.77 seconds swap time, 400m (500m) range, 4 seconds focus time and 8% (30%) stagger value. This does okay damage with uncharged shots but it needs to charge to actually stagger, making it very awkward to use when enemies are pressuring you.
Its primary melee weapon is a beam spear with 2000 power, 3.5 seconds cooldown, 0.77 seconds swap time, 30% combo modifier and 150% downswing modifier. This deals great damage with downswings, the neutral swing animation is a little awkward but it can instantly knock over enemies. The downswing is a long range lunge that is easy to connect with
Its first sub weapon is a head vulcan gun with 70 power, 30 ammo, 512 RPM, 6 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 150m range, 597 DPS and 7% stagger value. Unlike basically every low cost vulcan gun, this one can stagger quickly, only taking about 1.7 seconds to do so. It has okay DPS but is best used to stagger enemies.
Its second sub weapon is a dual wielded pair of beam sabers with 1600 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.77 seconds swap time and standard modifiers. This has below average power but the downswing animation is quite strong, having good reach and a good hitbox.
Its third sub weapon is a sticky grenade with 2000 power, 1 ammo, 11 seconds reload, 1 second swap time and 80% stagger value. This works like the sticky grenade on the ECOAS Jegan, it sticks to the ground for 6 seconds, exploding after 6 seconds or when an enemy gets close enough. This version instant staggers however, making it a useful tool for closing the gap or as a way to set up enemies for an ambush.

The LV1 Sliferail has 14500 HP, 12 ballistic resist, 10 beam resist and 14 melee resist. This is pretty average durability, it has no particular weakness in any area. It has LV1 Emergency Evasion for a defensive skill.
In terms of mobility it has 125 (128 including ground affinity) walking speed, 190 boosting speed, 65 thrust and 72 (78 including affinity) turning speed. This is really good mobility for a 350 cost general, it doesn't get any fancy skills like Forced Injector but it handles well regardless. It has LV1 Optimized Cooling Efficiency, which reduces initial thruster consumption by 10% when you start boosting.
It also has access to two skills which further improve its melee abilities. LV1 Combat Optimizer reduces swap time for melee weapons by 30% as long as you already had a melee weapon equipped. Keep in mind though, you don't need to actually finish swapping to a melee weapon for it to count as being equipped.
LV1 Pursuit Aux. Melee Program increases melee damage dealt to knocked over opponents by 15%.

In conclusion, I feel that the Sliferail is a strong but properly balanced suit. It has really good melee damage, better than most 400 cost generals despite it being at 350 cost. Having an instant stagger hand grenade and fast stun accumulation vulcans helps a ton as well, but it doesn't feel OP regardless of all this, being stuck with the Ground Gundam beam rifle means that if it doesn't have time to charge it, it is very vulnerable to enemies in a stun vs stun battle. I think it is worth rolling for if you like melee focused generals. It just makes me wish that they were willing to give other low cost suits tools like this, it plays basically exactly how I would like the RX-78-2 to play, so I hope that they buff other old suits in a similar fashion. Thanks for watching, and I hope that you enjoyed watching!
