Nice Low Profile, Can Use USB Port for Others (BYOC), Very Bright LED.

This contains (1) a generic USB charger, plus (2) a USB to Apple 30-pin connector cable. So if you have an iPhone 4S or below, or iPod with 30-pin connector, then this kit is really for you. Others can still make use of the USB charger, but bring your own cable. It is a small, compact charger that doesn't stick out of your cigarette lighter very far, which is nice to have a low profile. The light is surprisingly bright (as shown in the video). For some, it might be too bright. For others it is a welcome bright light you can actually see in the sunlight. A small piece of electrical tape would do to cover it partially if it really bothers you. But is bright enough that you will know for sure it is on, especially at night. The bottom line is that it works, is a nice low profile, and has a light bright enough to see in the sunshine, but some may not like the brightness at night.

You can use the USB charger with nearly any device provided you use your own USB charging cable. Most phone chargers are just a USB plug for a power outlet plus the USB cable to whatever port the device has. The cable they provide is for the older Apple connector prior to the iPhone 5, such as the iPhone 4S or below. Otherwise you need to remember to bring your existing cable with you. In my case, I have an iPhone 5 and a Nokia Lumia 920 Windows 8 Phone, both with USB wall chargers and cables. So I can just use those existing cables. But if you want to leave the cable in the car, you will need to buy the cable separately, or buy a car charger that comes with the correct extra cable to match your device.
