Sage (Breville) Duo Temp Pro: Home Espresso Machine Review

Breville is probably most well known for their hugely famous Barista Express model, but the Duo Temp Pro is a nice choice too, if you already have a grinder. It offers a PID and all the accessories you need to get started with your home barista journey. Strangely, Breville decided to omit the 3 way solenoid on this machine, as well as volumetric dosing. Therefore, this is a completely manual machine, more akin to the Gaggia Classic Pro.

Just for reference, here are some important machine times:
Time to startup: 40 seconds
Time to steam temp: 20 seconds
Time to steam 175ml of milk: 80 seconds

And here are some features:
Included tamper, milk pitcher, 4 baskets, descaler, cleaning tabs, and water filter.
Hot water outlet
Manual dosing (not volumetric)
No 3 way solenoid valve (I find this helps in getting cleaner puck knock outs)
