In rejecting Bane’s legacy, he did more than break tradition. He betrayed the very foundation of the Sith Order, setting in motion events that would ultimately destroy them. In the end, Palpatine’s arrogance ensured that no Sith would ever rise to challenge him—and no Sith would remain to inherit his throne.
