Benjamin Graham, investment teacher of Warren Buffett was born on; May 9, 1894, was a British-born American economist, professor and investor. As the "father of value investing," he is well-known. Together with David Dodd, he co-authored Security Analysis (1934) and The Intelligent Investor, two of the primary works on neoclassical investment (1949). He placed a strong emphasis on buy-and-hold investing, low debt, fundamental analysis, concentrated diversification, buying within the margin of safety, activist investing, and contrarian mindsets in his investment philosophy.
