Replacing And Rebuilding The Front Drum Brakes On A 1957 Chevy and others as well

Описание к видео Replacing And Rebuilding The Front Drum Brakes On A 1957 Chevy and others as well

On this episode fixin it with Matt Gray All Day. I decided to get working on rebuilding the front drum brakes on the old 57' Chevy Bel air, which isn't an easy task than they look. If any of you are in this type of situation hopefully it helps you out these are not fun to do as the anchor bolt that holds the wheel cylinder is extremely tough to remove and requires tons of heat and penetration oil like pb blaster or WD40 and even force using a vise grip or a 1' wrench to break it free. I was thinking of doing a disc brake conversion , I wanted to use the 14in tires with the original 57 Chevy hubcaps. To all that are watching hopefully this helps explains more about front drum brakes on a 1957 Chevy passenger car. As always thank you for watching.
