Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman's son Connor Cruise is just a teen but he's already making a name for himself in the music industry. The 17-year-old is an aspiring DJ who goes by the name DJ C-Squared.
He took to the decks to spin tunes Tuesday (24 July 2012) at an American Eagle-sponsored event in New York City's Times Square.
Cruise, whose hair is in a mohawk, didn't give interviews but did smile and flash the peace sign to onlookers.
Actress Shay Mitchell of the hit ABC Family TV show "Pretty Little Liars" was also there. She greeted fans, posed for photos and signed autographs.
The American Eagle campaign is called "Live Your Life," which Mitchell said is the message she wants to convey to all of her fans.
"I love it. I mean they came to me and they were like, 'It's called live your life' and I was like, 'Stop. Live your life. That's everything, that's the message that I want to spread. Especially to all the girls and guys that are out here today. That's the most important thing. Don't try and change who you are. Celebrate what makes you different you know I wish I would've known that when I was in school and now that I do I'm gonna share that with everybody and so this campaign is just all about that. It's about real people and how they wear their clothes, how they're different. They're not supermodels wearing these jeans, you know, it's like everybody that you know so I love it. I love this campaign."
The actress got visibly emotional when hundreds of people showed up to meet her in the summer heat.
"Oh my gosh. It's crazy. I can't think about it too much because I'm gonna start to cry," she said. "It's amazing. It's awesome that they would come out here and it's so hot outside but they're still all here and I'm just like..."
American Eagle's "Live Your Life" campaign celebrates individual style through real people and how they express themselves.
