My Shared Ownership experience: Deepa talks about staircasing and service charge (Part 1)

Deepa Mistry-Longley, who was featured in the BBC Panorama episode 'The Home I Can't Afford', talks to me about her Shared Ownership experience. Specifically, she talks about what attracted her to the scheme, her attempts to staricase to 100% ownership and the increase in service charge costs. The Shared Ownership scheme comes under the Governments 'Help to Buy' banner, which includes a number of initiatives that aim to help people buy a home. It is considered an affordable housing product, but many find it unaffordable in the long-term.
