Fishing for Mooneye. This fish species is found in large river systems in the central United States, and it is the eighth installment of the series that I'll probably be working on until the day that I die. The Mooneye - Scientific Name: Hiodon tergisus. The goal is to catch 1000 different fish species, and today I am chasing a fish that is native to Wisconsin and most of the United States and also three of the Great Lakes. I was fishing in Sauk City, Wisconsin for this species which can be found in the Lower Wisconsin River. They can caught worms, but you have to get your bait into the current or into deeper pools.
