About the Book

Conducting an assessment of work practices for a software team or organization can be daunting. In this second book, you'll find a detailed approach to conducting assessments, along with realistic examples. For further facilitator support, four case studies detail what teams may look like in their daily practices in one of the four dimensions of the QPAM model: Beginning, Unifying, Practicing, and Innovating. These examples provide additional guidance to facilitators evaluating a team with the QPAM model.

About the Authors

Janet Gregory

Janet is a testing and process consultant with DragonFire Inc. She is the co-author with Selena Delesie of Assessing Agile Quality Practices with QPAM: Enabling Teams to Improve (LeanPub 2022). Janet has co-authored several books on Agile Testing and Holistic testing with Lisa Crispin.

Janet specializes in showing agile teams how testing activities are necessary to develop good quality products. She has worked with many teams to transition to agile development and taught agile testing courses worldwide.

Selena Delesie

Selena Delesie provides coaching, consulting, and training for individuals and organizations on business operation, agility, leadership, quality, and organizational culture. She is experienced with reducing costs and providing strategic leadership to enable the growth of startups through to multi-national companies, particularly in unstructured environments.

As the principal and founder of Atma Group Inc, Selena shows leaders, managers, executives and business owners how to break free from traditional business practices and engage the strengths and passions of their team to produce a highly creative, productive and vibrant workforce.

Selena is a published author on Agile, leadership, and quality practices — in numerous publications, and the books Assessing Agile Quality Practices (LeanPub, 2022), Tips From the Agile Trenches (LeanPub, 2021), and How to Reduce the Cost of Testing (Auerbach Publications, 2011). She is a frequently invited speaker and teacher at international industry conferences.
