I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. I know my own, and my own know me. John 10:10,14 In this you rejoice, even if now for a little while you have had to suffer various trials, 1Peter 1:6

Padre Pio: Saint Pio of Pietrelcina, given name, Francesco Forgione, Born May 25, 1887, Pietrelcina, Italy. Died September 23, 1968, San Giovanni Rotondo, Italy. Canonized by Pope St. John Paul II, June 16, 2002, Feast day September 23. He was a priest of the Capuchin Friars, taking the name Pio in honor of Pope St. Pius I. God spiritually blessed him in unique ways: prophecy, conversion, reading of souls, bilocation and miraculous cures. People are being physically and spiritually cured in all parts of the world through St. Padre Pio’s intercession in ways that cannot be explained by medicine or science. On September 20, 1918, the five wounds of our Lord’s passion appeared on his body, the STIGMATA (bodily marks corresponding to the wounds suffered by the crucified Jesus.) His life consisted of long hours of prayer, austerity, ineffable physical, spiritual suffering, a deep union with God and a burning love for the Holy Eucharist and Our Blessed Lady. Saint Padre Pio lived the last 50 years of his life at Our Lady of Grace Friary in San Giovanni Rotondo, Italy.
NOVENA: originating from 9 (novel) days of prayer by the disciples and Mary between the ASCENSION and PENTECOST. A prayer with a specific intention offered nine days in a row.
ST. PADRE PIO SACRED HEART NOVENA.
MATTHEW 7:7. O my Jesus, You have said: “Truly I say to you, ask and you will receive, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened to you.” Behold I knock, I seek and ask for the grace of (here name your request). Our Father … Hail Mary … Glory Be …
SACRED HEART of JESUS, I place all my trust in You.
JOHN 16:23. O my Jesus, You have said: “Truly I say to you, if you ask anything of the Father in My name, He will give it to you.” Behold, in Your name, I ask the Father for the grace of (here name your request). Our Father … Hail Mary … Glory Be …
SACRED HEART of JESUS, I place all my trust in You.
MATTHEW 5:18. O my Jesus, You have said: “Truly I say to you, heaven and earth will pass away but My words will not pass away.” Encouraged by Your infallible words I now ask for the grace of (here name your request). Our Father … Hail Mary … Glory Be …
SACRED HEART of JESUS, I place all my trust in You.

O SACRED HEART of JESUS, for whom it is impossible not to have compassion on the afflicted, have pity on us miserable sinners and grant us the grace which we ask of You, through the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary, Your tender Mother and ours.
Say the Hail, Holy Queen and add: “St. Joseph, foster father of Jesus, pray for us.” AMEN.

“Now I [Paul] rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I complete what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the church,” Colossians 1:24 The cross is the unique sacrifice of Christ, the “one mediator between God and men.” 1 Timothy 2:5. But because in his incarnate divine person he has in some way united himself to every man, “the possibility of being made partners, in a way known to God, in the paschal mystery” is offered to all men. 618 CCC CHRIST'S suffering Death and Resurrection is completely sufficient for universal salvation and redemption. Paul is united to Christ in his Church and is offering his sufferings to Christ for the sake of the Church. In bringing about the Redemption through suffering, Christ has also raised human suffering to the level of the Redemption. Thus each man, in his suffering, can also become a sharer in the redemptive suffering of Christ (Salvifici Doloris, 19 Apostolic letter of His Holiness Pope John Paul II on the Christian meaning of human suffering). Pope (1978-2005 : John Paul II) & John Paul II, P. (1984).

MORNING OFFERING PRAYER. “Offering Up” (a sharer in the redemptive suffering of Christ ) This prayer petition captures the habitual Catholic attitude of “Offering It Up” “prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day in union with the holy sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world.” Morning Offering Prayer originated with the Apostleship of Prayer (League of the Sacred Heart). O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you all my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day, for all the intensions of your Sacred Heart, in union with the holy sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, in reparation for my sins, for the intensions of all those in need of prayer. AMEN
