If your Skype app is open, you need to close it.
Click on the windows menu at the bottom left corner of your screen. Click on the gear icon to open the Settings window.
Go to Apps. Choose apps and features from the left side list. Scroll down and look for Skype app. You can also type Skype in the search line to locate it faster. Click on Skype to select it.
The first option is to uninstall the app. Click on Uninstall. Confirm in the pop-up. Install the app again. This is the simplest fix, that will most likely fix all the issues you have with Skype.
If you don’t want to go through reinstallation trouble, you can try the rest method. Click on Advanced settings under the skype icon. Scroll down through the settings options. Look for the Reset block. Click on Reset.
