Here are 5 common eBay buyer scams which I have come across as an ebay seller.

I have been scammed several times in my ebay selling career and the most common ones I see other ebay sellers asking about in facebook groups and forums are things like "my buyer said the item was not as described but it's brand new" and " The buyer has asked me to send the item to a different address, should I?"

Some ebay buyer scams are opportunistic, but others are pre-planned and just downright criminal.

A lot of scams on ebay can be avoided if you use tracked and insured postage as a seller. Having good quality, comprehensive photos and an honest description can also help to reduce the likelihood that a buyer on eBay will open a case against you, which is often the first component of a scam.

Don't let this video put you off becoming an eBay seller; most customers are fine and cause no bother at all, but you need to be prepared for the ones which are just out to steal your money and/or products.
