DeMilitia - A Rock/Metal quintet cover band from Berri SA , played a mix of radio friendly rock (AC/DC, Deep Purple, Guns'n'Roses) and metal moshers (Metallica, Megadeth, Pantera), were well received by the Riverland ('94-'95) public who had become thirsty for something heavier to party too.
After Oppressor disbanded in 1993 James Muirhead (Drms) and Shayne Peters (Gtrs) began jamming with Kym Barton-Ancliffe, an Angus Young worshiping young gun who could shred with ease, and wanted to inject some venom into his guitar by playing some heavier stuff. Within weeks Greg Bates had started singing with them but, they needed a bass player. Sometime in '94 Paul Gilgen (ex-Oppressor) was asked if interested in swapping the guitar for a bass and he completed the line-up. By mid-1995 four of the five members had relocated to Adelaide, which meant the end of the band.
