George Younce’s Final Appearance

This is the last time George Younce ever made a public appearance. He made a surprise appearance at this Gaither taping. This was at the Gund Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. He came out singing “This Ole House”, 20,000 people there that night went crazy as his bass voice rumbled the arena.

George was the best bass singer to ever sing. In this video, you can tell his voice is a little weak, due to being on dialysis 3 times a week. He also had heart issues. But those issues didn’t stop him from giving it his all.

This was on Saturday, September 18, 2004. He did a benefit concert with Ernie Haase and Signature Sound, along with Bill and Gloria Gaither just a month before this last appearance, on August 19, 2004.
