📚Description: I've always believed if Gibson somehow thought of the MIII FIRST in the 80s instead of it being their final attempt at a super strat in the 90s, the history books would be SO different for this model. I got a good chuckle out of this one when it had a mis-stamped serial number dating it to 1982 vs 1992 - similar to that 1990 Limited Colors Edition Les Paul Standard that had a 1980 Serial number. I'm still not 100% sure that standard left the factory exactly like that, but a viewer was able to supply me photos with another mistamped 90s flying V with an 80s serial number. There was definitely something going on at Gibson - I hope we find out more!

So... was the Gibson MIII ever an 80s model? No. But with this one, we can pretend it was by reading the serial number literally and ignoring all the specs haha
