The Utah State Bar hosted Utah Senate President Stuart J. Adams and Utah House Speaker Mike Schultz for the inaugural session of its “Let’s Talk & Let’s Listen” continuing legal education series. Moderated by litigator Keith A. Call, this forum convened more than 700 online participants and 60 in-person attendees to engage in a candid discussion about the growing tensions between Utah’s legislative and judicial branches.

Bar President Kim Cordova emphasized that the event was designed to model constructive, civil, and professional dialogue at a moment of heightened public debate. Adams and Schultz addressed questions submitted in advance by registrants and explored topics including the balance of powers, recent controversial court rulings, and the responsibilities of elected officials and legal professionals in upholding constitutional governance.
